Srinagar: With the putting up of barricades as a diversion on Shaheed Gung road by Traffic Police, S G Traders on Thursday were up in arms against the authorities on the erecting of barricades and said that it has been affecting their business.
Shopkeepers said that they have been left dejected as their business is barely going on for a couple of years with the road leading to their shops having been almost blocked by the erection of barricades.
They said that the customers could come to their shops once the road is accessible to them. Amid the barricading of the road, which almost has been closed, is taking a toll on their business, shopkeepers said.
Shaheed Gunj Traders Federation also hailed the duty of one of the former traffic officers and the handling of traffic in the city by him.
However, they also demanded for the redressal of the issue forthwith so that they could carry on their business activities.
