5 Day students’ trekking expedition flagged in at Reasi

REASI: The 5 day  students’ trekking expedition was flagged in  on Friday, here in Reasi.

The camp was organized by the Department of District Youth Services and Sports Reasi in which 50 students from Zone Reasi, Mahore, Arnas and  Pouni participated.

The participating students reported on 19th October and the trekking expedition was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner, Indu Chib on October 20 of this month.

The Trekkers covered local Trek around Sulla Park, Bidda, Siadh Baba and Bhimgarh Fort.

Youth Sports Officer Subash Chander said that during the 5 days Trekking camp, students were imparted knowledge about keeping surroundings neat and clean, avoid use of polythene, healthy lifestyle, wearing of facemask and maintaining social distance to avoid the spread of Covid-19.

This Trekking Camp culminated after an Inspirational speech by Chief guest Dr Ravinder Pandita, Nodal officer of Indian system of Medicines Reasi.

The trekking was guided by Asha Devi (PEM), Riaz Ahmed(PET), Arun Dev Singh (PET), Jagdish Raj and Shabir Ahmed.
