SHOPIAN: The Additional District Magistrate, (ADM) Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani today chaired a meeting of various departments to review the arrangements for Republic Day Celebration-2022.
The ADM discussed in detail all the arrangements to be made for smooth conduct of the National event. He stressed on close synergy among the concerned departments while making arrangements.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on printing of invitation cards, selection of contingents, cultural items, transportation, sanitation, cleanliness and the concerned departments were directed to put in place requisite arrangements well in advance.
The ADM exhorted upon all concerned officers to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in time for smooth and successful celebration of the Republic day.
He asked the concerned for immediate furnishing of the lists of contingents and cultural items, while others were also told to share the lists of contingents.
Necessary directions were issued to the concerned departments for selection of contingents, cultural programmes, rehearsals, and transportation facilities for participants besides, traffic management, security, presentation, refreshment, installation of screens/ LEDs, illumination of Government buildings and other important arrangements for smooth conduct of Republic day celebration.
The meeting was attended by officers of Police, Traffic Jal Shakti, PDD, PWD, MC, Health Services, Information, Education, Youth Services and Sports and other concerned departments.
