Remembers Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th Birth Anniversary
RAJOURI: Range Police Headquarters Rajouri today organised a one-day seminar at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Hosted under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025–26, the programme was graced by Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal as the Chief Guest. DIG Rajouri–Poonch Range Tejinder Singh and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma attended as distinguished guests. A large number of students, faculty members and officers of the Police Department participated in the programme.
The speakers delivered lectures on the Sardar Patel’s legacy of strong leadership in modern India- highlighting his immense contribution in the unity and integrity of the nation and his historic role in the integration of the princely states into the Indian union. The speakers also called upon the youth to uphold the values of national unity, mutual harmony and responsible citizenship.
The objective of the programme was to inspire the youth to imbibe the ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and to encourage them to play a positive and constructive role in nation building.
