Rajouri Admin organises Inspirational Interaction Programme with women achievers under BBBP

RAJOURI: The District Administration Rajouri, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, today organised an inspirational interaction programme with Women Achievers under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme.

The event was held at the Auditorium Hall of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) amid enthusiastic participation from girl students from different educational institutions.

At the outset, Prof. Romana Rasheed extended a warm welcome to all guests and attendees.

Vice Chancellor BGSBU, Prof. Javiad Ahmed graced the event and lauded the initiative aimed at motivating young women to pursue excellence in diverse fields. He stressed the importance of education, equal opportunities and progressive thinking in nurturing confident and capable women leaders of the future.

IAS Probationer Seerat Baji, the guest speaker delivered an inspiring keynote address, emphasising that high aim, hard work and perseverance are the key to success. Citing the remarkable example of India’s youngest Paralympic medallist Sheetal Devi, she urged students to set ambitious goals, face challenges with determination and strive for financial independence. She also expressed gratitude to the District Administration and the University administration for organising such a meaningful programme.

An engaging interactive session followed, during which girl students posed questions related to success stories, civil services preparation strategies and overcoming life challenges. The guest speaker addressed each query with clarity and depth, leaving the audience motivated and encouraged.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by District Social Welfare Officer Abdul Raheem, who appreciated the active participation of students and acknowledged the valuable contributions of all dignitaries.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Sachi Sood and Prof. Tanveer from the English Department. Girl students who have excelled in different fields were felicitated, adding to the spirit of celebration and inspiration.

Staff and students from different departments of BGSBU, PG College Rajouri, HEM College Rajouri, Nursing College and several other institutions participated in the programme. Students, who have applied for the Super-30 batch of Civil Services coaching under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, were also present.

The programme successfully reinforced the message of women empowerment, aspiration and equal opportunities, inspiring young women across the district to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.
