SRINAGAR: The Lieutenant Governor’s administration has directed Director Extension Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, Kashmir Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad to perform the routine duties of vice-chancellor SKUAST-K as the incumbent VC completed his tenure on Thursday.
In an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), LG administration said that Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad, Director Extension, SKUAST-Kashmir shall perform the routine duties of the Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST- Kashmir till further orders.
Prof. (Dr.) Nazeer Ahmad, who was the vice-chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, Kashmir completed his tenure today.
“Prof. (Dr.) Nazeer Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology Kashmir shall be completing his tenure today. A Selection Committee for drawing up a panel of names for appointment to the post of Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Kashmir has been constituted and the process would take some time to conclude,” the order reads.
The order, issued by additional secretary further reads “In this context, I am desired to convey the approval of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor (Chancellor, SKUAST-Kashmir) that Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad, Director Extension, SKUAST-Kashmir shall perform the routine duties of the Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST- Kashmir till further orders.”
