Power-grid provides 9 O2-Concentrators to district administration Jammu under CSR initiative

JAMMU:  Executive Director, Power-grid Northern Region-II, Kailash Rathore today handed over Nine (09) Oxygen Concentrators to  Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Anshul Garg.

The Oxygen Concentrators costing Rs 4.5 lakh were provided by the Power Grid under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

“This initiative of Power-grid will help in augmenting health infrastructure in Jammu.  It will help increase the number of beds with oxygen facility to tackle the emergent situation owing to Covid-19” said Executive Director, while speaking on the occasion.

Rathore reiterated that Power-grid’s commitment in contributing towards the general well being of society will continue in future.  He also informed about similar assistance provided by Power–grid to different districts of the region to fight Covid -19 situation.

  Rakesh Dube, ADC and  Satish Sharma, ADC  besides senior officials of Power-grid were also present on the occasion. 

The Power-grid is a ‘Maharatna’ Company under Ministry of Power, GoI. Its physical assets along with its subsidiaries as on date stands at 168,140 ckm of transmission lines, 252 substations and more than 420,315 MVA of transformation capacity.

With the adoption of latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, the Power-grid maintains an average transmission system availability of 99.83%.
