SRINAGAR: To strengthen the police public relations and to listen to the grievances of the people a police- public meeting was held in police station Panthachowk Srinagar today.
The meeting was held at the Police station Panthachowk Srinagar and was chaired by SHO Police Station Panthachowk Mohammad Ayoub Rather.
Large number of people including traders, senior citizens from areas including Athwajan, Pandrethan and Panthachowk participated in the meeting and highlighted various social and public issues.
Many issues pertaining to the police were immediately redressed on the spot while as other issues highlighted by the participants that need the intervention of the civil administration were noted to be taken up with the higher authorities for their redressal.
SHO thanked the people for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions.
Referring to the grievance highlighted by the participates, the SHO Panthachowk assured that these grievances and suggestions will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that police will provide its all support as and when required for the betterment of the society accordingly.
