SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in summer capital Srinagar after inaugurating Srinagar-Zojila tunnel in Leh on Saturday.
PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate a ring road project from Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) on the banks of famous Dal Lake today.
Earlier, the capital city Srinagar was placed under a thick security blanket, while barricades were erected at many places with forces personnel manning the roads to prevent Joint Resistance Leadership’s (JRL’s) proposed “Lal Chowk Chalo” program.
Mobile Internet has been suspended in the Valley while schools and colleges have been closed in Srinagar.
