PULWAMA: Congress party on Monday alleged that the workers of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) thrashed its polling agent in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A video of the thrashing has also gone viral on social media networks.
In a statement issued here, the party said: “The PDP Worker Waheed Ur Rehman Parra who had captured Booth No. 113 at GHSS Naira since today morning used muscle power to overthrow polling agents of Congress Party, besides his close associates beat Congress worker ruthlessly, leaving him grievously injured.”
Reports said that a PDP worker thrashed the Congress polling agent inside polling Booth No. 113 in Naira Rajpora.
The Congress party also sought re-poll on several polling booths, alleging that the National Conference and the PDP indulged in bogus voting in Pampore and Rajpora Constituencies.
