Srinagar: People on Sunday joined crowdfunding for upcoming Assembly elections which took off from the historic town of Palhalan. An amount of Rs, 51860 was donated by people from the crowd after Er Rasheed appealed masses to raise money for upcoming assembly elections.

Addressing the gathering Rasheed said that AIP is an indigenous movement and does not take dictation from anyone. The party has a pro-people agenda and that is the reason that people not only have started showing faith in party’s manifesto by giving their vote but as the past has started raising money to meet out the legitimate expenses for upcoming assembly elections, the spokesman said.

AIP is a movement of masses and like other parties, it has not to arrange money from unknown or dubious sources. People have understood the significance and requirements of an indigenous movement and AIP will reach everywhere from Lakhanpur to Karnah to seek not only votes but will also make every voter a stakeholder in the party’s agenda.

Rasheed added that after north Kashmir people from other areas will also support AIP as Kashmiris need a strong, pro-people, sincere and dedicated leadership which no one other than AIP has the desire and commitment to providing them. Party leaders Tariq Rasheed Malik and Basharat Hussain Najar also addressed the gathering. Later party delegation including Rasheed, Tariq Rasheed Malik, Mohammad Rafiq, Mir Khursheed and Aijaz Lone visited Uri to offer their condolences to the family of Mohammad Shafi Chalkoo of Silikote who had lost two members of his family in a cylinder blast and four children are under treatment at SMHS.
