Multiple Delhi schools receive bomb threats; police, emergency teams deployed

NEW DELHI: Several schools in the national capital received bomb threat emails on Monday morning, prompting immediate action by Delhi Police and emergency services.

According to Delhi Police, bomb threat calls were received at nine schools across Delhi between 8.30 am and 9 am. Following the threats, police personnel, fire teams, and bomb disposal squads were rushed to the affected school campuses to conduct security checks.

In South Delhi, three schools have received bomb threats.

Schools targeted by the threatening emails or calls include Loreto Convent School (Delhi Cantt), Cambridge School (Srinivasanpuri), Venkateshwar School (Rohini), Cambridge School (NFC) and Bal Bharati School (Rohini).

Following the information, teams of Delhi Police dog squad, Delhi Fire Service (DFS) are present on site, and all necessary precautionary measures are being taken.

The reported emails referred to Khalistan and were linked to the Khalistan National Army. The sender identified himself as Engineer Guranakh Singh Rukan Shahwala.
