HAJIN: A youth who went missing a few days ago from his home in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has reportedly joined a Lashkar-e-Toiba militant outfit.

A picture of Nisar Ahmad Dar of Wahab Parray Mohalla in which he could be seen carrying an AK-47 rifle went viral on social networking websites last evening.

Dar had gone missing few days ago following which his parents filed a report with Hajin police station.

Reports said Dar was detained and booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) last year and was released only a few months back.

A friend wishing anonymity alleged that Dar was forced to pick up the gun as he was “fabricated” in many false cases and was “harassed” by the police.

“The torture by the police forced him towards militancy,” he alleged.
