Militants abduct army man from Pulwama in south Kashmir

PULAMA: Militants on Thursday abducted an army man who was travelling in a private vehicle in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Reports said that the soldier, identified as Aurangzeb, a resident of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, was travelling in a private vehicle when the incident took place.

They said that army men from 44 RR camp stopped a private vehicle around 9 am and asked the driver to drop their man at Shopian.

However, militants stopped the vehicle as it reached Kalampora and kidnapped the army man.

Reports said that a manhunt has been launched to trace the soldier.
