SRINAGAR: A militant and a soldier were killed after a fierce gunfight broke out between militants and counter insurgent forces in Pandushan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district today.
The gunfight broke out at around 1:30 am after a joint team Army’s 34RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the village. Official sources said that in exchange of firing one militant and an army man were killed also one army man was injured.
As per the official source operation in the area is in the final stage. The identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
