Srinagar: Two spells of snowfall have been forecasted by the Meteorological department Srinagar to be observed this week in J&K.
As both J&K and Ladakh UTs are currently overcast under the influence of a feeble western disturbance, the MeT official on Monday predicted snowfall in plains and higher reaches of both UTs during today night and tomorrow.
It was said that besides likely light snowfall in plains and light to moderate snowfall over higher reaches of Valley, there would be a light rain in Jammu region during 17th and 18th January.
The official further said that another spell of light to moderate snowfall would be likely observed during 21th and 22nd January.
“There is no forecast of any major rain or snowfall till the end of this month in both J&K and Ladakh,” the MeT official said.
