KULGAM: The District Administration Kulgam today organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D. H.Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
The programme witnessed overwhelming response from PRIs and general public who highlighted issues and grievances confronting their areas for early redressal.
To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
Officers from District Administration were also present during the block diwas.
People from Balso, Yadikhah, Matibug, Brazloo Jageer,Pranhal, Gudder,Kakran, Boh and other areas participated in this grievances redressal camp and apprised the DC about their issues and grievances.
Visiting delegation from Kakran demanded desilting of Sonman Canal and development of its embankments, people from Matibug demanded Protection wall for playfield at Matibug and another delegation from Brazloo Jageer demanded augmentation of power network besides people from DK Marg demanded release of Land compensation of Boh Dragdan road.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot.
Earlier, ACD Kulgam Mohammd Imran Khan briefed about the action taken on the issue and grievances raised by people in previous block diwas.
Meanwhile, grievances redressal camps were also held at Block D. H. Pora and Block Devsar where ADDC and SDM listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
