SRINAGAR: On the directions of Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan the Enforcement team headed by Deputy Director FCS&CA along with concerned SHO’s, ISO’s and sector magistrates conducted market checking in various areas of Srinagar city.
The team inspected markets in Safakadal, Kaksarai, Karan Nagar, Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar, Nawakadal, Kawdara, Khanyar and Nowpora areas of Srinagar city to ascertain whether the rates of essential commodities prescribed by the department are adhered to.
During the course of inspection F.I.R. against 9 violators was lodged at concerned Police Stations.
The team also visited various locations designated for sale of sacrificial animals to ensure enough availability of animals at the prescribed rates.
It was also checked whether the essential commodities, vegetables, Poultry, bakery items etc. are available in abundance in the market and ensure that the government prescribed rates are adhered to.
