KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today provided an assistance of Rs, 20.50 lacs among dependents, legal heir of the deceased construction workers as death and funeral assistance.
The cheques amounting to Rs 1.50 lacs were also given in three cases as assistance for higher education and professional courses.
These cheques were distributed by DC Kulgam here at a distribution camp which was organized by Labour Department Kulgam.
The DC applauded the department for providing education assistance to the wards of construction workers and added that such endeavors will help them to realize their career goals.
Among others ADC, Shabir Hussain, ALC, Dr Nida Yousuf and other Officers were present on the occasion.
