Labour Department Kulgam organises awareness cum Registration camp on e-SHRAM in Malvan

KULGAM: Labour Department Kulgam in collaboration with Hope Foundation, today organized a special awareness cum Registration camp on e-SHRAM Portal for un-organized Workers here at Malvan Kulgam.

On the occasion participants were apprised that Registration on the e-SHRAM portal requires Aadhaar details, bank account number linked with Aadhar card and age limit for registration is 18 to 59.

ALC Kulgam, Dr. Adnan Tariq,  informed that so- far 72000 unorganized workers have been registered on e-SHRAM Portal and this is  first-ever National Database of Unorganised Workers (NDUW) created by Ministry of Labour and Employment to register the Un-organized Workers including migrant workers, construction workers, domestic help, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, Street vendors, Rickshaw pullers, Farmers, Agricultural labourers, Animal husbandry workers, Barbers, weavers, Carpenters, Brick kiln, Quarry workers, Saw mill workers, Vegetable and Fruit vendors, Newspapers vendors, Auto drivers, Sericulture workers, housemaids and other such workers to get benefits of the Government schemes.

He also added that after  registration on e-SHRAM the beneficiary will get accident insurance cover and  2 lakh compensation in  case of death and 1 lakh in case of permanent disability.
