DC reviews progress of work

DODA: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh today chaired a meeting in the Mini Meeting Hall DC Office Complex to review the progress of work on Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) campus building coming up here at Jodhpur.

The executing agency, Central Public Works Department (CPWD), gave a comprehensive PPT presentation highlighting the current status of the project.

The meeting was attended by Executive PWD (R&B), representatives from PHE and PDD departments, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, technical experts from the CPWD central team with civil engineers including AEE and JE.

 The review covered major components including academic buildings, residential quarters, boundary wall, underground water tank, retaining walls, connecting roads, Breast Wall, electrification works and water supply arrangements.  The Engineers also provided a detailed overview of the construction site, physical progress achieved so far and challenges faced during execution.

Reiterating that the KV project is a long-term investment in the future of children, the DC stressed the importance of high-quality construction, safety standards and timely completion. He reviewed the expected deadlines and urged the executing agency to expedite work without compromising quality.

The Deputy Commissioner inquired about the status of electrification work, being executed in coordination with the Power Development Department (PDD). He emphasized judicious utilization of funds, proper documentation of expenditure and strict adherence to approved designs and specifications. Directions were also issued to ensure scientific dumping and disposal of construction debris to avoid environmental hazards.
