Kishtwar Accident: Mirwaiz, Sehrai grieved, expresses concern on ‘repeated accidents’

Srinagar: Hurriyat (M) chairman and senior separatist leader Mirwaiz Mohammad Umar Farooq on Monday expressed grief over the loss of lives in Kishtwar road accident. He also expressed concern over the repeated accidents on the road. Pertinently, many major accidents were witnessed on the road from last many months.

“Heartbreaking news from Kishtwar as another accident claims more than 30 human lives. Repeated accidents tragic and very concerning .Condolences and sympathies with the bereaved families . May Allah grant jannah to the deceased,” Mirwaiz wrote on his widely followed twitter handle.

On Monday morning, at least 35 people lost their lives and many others sustained critical injuries after a minibus overturned and fell into a deep gorge in Kishtwar.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai also expressed shock and grief over the devastating Kishtwar road accident in which 31 people lost their lives so far and scores injured in a horrific road accident.

He said it is painful to see that road accidents are happening on alarming rate and it seems to be a routine now as the administration and concern department also is in deep slumber and not taking road and passenger safety measures swiftly, the spokesman in a statement said.

Sehrai expressed sympathies and solidarity with the families whose loved ones were killed in a tragic road accident and shared his thoughts and prayers with the bereaved families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those who are injured.
