SRINAGAR: K. K. Sharma has resigned from the post of Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and has been appointed as the State Election Commissioner, Rohit Kansal revealed in a Tweet.

In november 2018, K K Sharma was appointed as an advisor to the then Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik and had continued his service to the (current) Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who was appointed on 7th August 2020 by the President of India.
