Joint Secretary Meity reviews PM SHRI schools in Udhampur, emphasizes quality education, innovation

UDHAMPUR: Joint Secretary, Ministry for Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) Government of India and Central Nodal Officer for PM SHRI Schools, Sushil Pal ICAS, today visited Udhampur district and chaired a review meeting to assess the functioning and implementation of PM SHRI Schools.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Minga Sherpa,  Joint Director School Education Udhampur–Reasi, Dr. Jagdish Chander Mehra,  State Coordinator PM SHRI Schools, Fayaz Ahmed Fayaz, Chief Education Officer along with Principals of PM SHRI Schools and other concerned officers.

Joint Director School Education extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and presented an overview of PM SHRI Schools in Udhampur district.

The Central Nodal Officer conducted a detailed review of the scheme implementation and interacted with the heads of PM SHRI Schools to assess their functioning and infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of building motivation and confidence among the students, stating that a motivated learner is key to academic success. He also reviewed the infrastructural development, academic performance and innovative initiatives undertaken under the PM SHRI scheme.

He urged the school heads to ensure that the benefits of the PM SHRI scheme reach every eligible student in an effective and timely manner.

The Deputy Commissioner encouraged the institutional heads to gain first hand insights into classroom practices, learner engagement and school leadership processes. He appreciated the visible transformation in school ecosystems and the commitment of educators towards fostering a learner-centric environment.

Meanwhile, State Coordinator PM SHRI Schools presented a detailed overview of infrastructural upgrades, academic milestones and innovative practices being implemented across PM SHRI institutions in Udhampur.

Later, the Central Nodal officer visited PM SHRI High School Johnu in Udhampur district and interacted with the staff members and students.
