SAMBA: The Union Territory administration has facilitated the J&K residents coming back from different states in a smooth and organised manner. At the prime nerve centre for overhauling of the heavy rush, Radha Sawami Asharam, Vijaypur officials have been on their toes since the lockdown.

Over 20,000 residents of Jammu and Kashmir have been screened and categorised in the ashram with limited officials working round the clock. In dispatching process today 738 persons were sent from the quarantine centre at Radha Swami Ashram in a fleet of 27 buses and some private vehicles towards their home districts.

Each individual is provided with proper care, medicinal help, food, water, beddings and other essential commodities before being segregated and finally leave for their onward journey. Residents of Jammu, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhumpur, Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar district left the quarantine centre” informed official working in the ashram.

Sampling of the returnees of district Kulgam has also been conducted at the ashram site and 1675 samples have been so far. It is ensured that 100% sampling is conducted before dispatching of the returnees at designated points.

District administration Samba including medical staff, revenue officials, district officers and other officials have been performing duties round the clock with deduction and sincerity said Deputy Commissioner Samba Rohit Khajuria.
