Srinagar: Top militant commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit and a foreign militant was killed by security forces on Wednesday early morning in an encounter in Qasbayar area of South Kashmir Pulwama.
As per officials, the gunfight started between security forces and militants after searching parties zeroed in on a suspected area following having inputs about the presence of militants there.
In the ensuing gunfight, two militants were killed by forces who were identified as top militant commander of JeM and an IED expert Yasir Parray and a foreign militant Furqan.
As per IGP-K Vijay Kumar, both the slain militants were involved in the commission of several militant crime cases.
However, Kumar has termed the killing of Jaish’s militant commander and the foreign militant in the encounter as a big success.
