PULWAMA: District administration Pulwama today inaugurated Inter-district provincial level Kabaddi tournament at Mehjoor Memorial Boys Higher Secondary School (MMBHSS) Pulwama.
The event is being organised by Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Kashmir and is hosted by District Youth Services and Sports Office Pulwama.
A total of 128 student players from all 10 districts of Kashmir division will participate in the competition. The tournament will feature competitions across Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories.
The event is being held at MMBHSS Pulwama under the close observation of deputed selectors and departmental officials to identify and select promising talent for the next level of the competition.
On the occasion, as part of the event, the participants and officials also took an anti-drug oath under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Speaking on the occasion, ACR Pulwama urged the youth to actively take part in sports and fitness activities, stating, “Physical activity is essential for a healthy life and a healthy society. Stay fit, stay away from drugs and help build a drug-free India.”
Among others, the inaugural session was attended by District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Pulwama, Principal MMBHSS Pulwama and other officials from the Youth Services and Sports department.
