Injured SHO Anantnag succumbs at AIIMS

ANANTNAG: SHO Saddar Anantnag Inspector Arshad Khan, who had got critically injured in an encounter with militants at KP Road Anantnag on June 12, succumbed to injuries after he was carried from SKIMS to AIIMS by air ambulance today.

Reports said that Arshid Ahmad Khan, Station House officer Sadder Anantnag who had suffered critical bullet wound in his chest in Anantnag fidayeen attack has succumbed to his injuries at AIIMS New Delhi.

It is pertinent to mention that five CRPF jawans were killed in the attack, a lady civillian,three Security forces personnel including SHO sadder were injured in the attack.

A foriegn fidayeen militant was also killed in the attack.

SHO Arshid Khan was shifted to 92 base hospital Badami Bagh from where he was shifted to SKIMS Soura Srinagar.

He was today air lifted to AIIMS New Delhi where he breathed his last, reports added.
