Indian Armed Forces brief veterans, think tanks on Operation Sindoor

NEW DELHI: The top brass of the Indian Armed Forces, led by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, briefed think tanks and veterans on Operation Sindoor. He was accompanied by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and Air Chief Marshal A P Singh.

On Tuesday, the four military leaders provided a direct perspective on the successful conduct of the operation.

The Integrated Defence Staff Headquarters, under the Chief of Defence Staff, posted details on X on Wednesday, stating, “Insights on the how the three-services operated in synergy was explained. The successful execution of new-age multi domain operations, with an exceptional degree of jointness and integration, deliberated with Veterans and think tanks”.

Additionally, India briefed defence attaches from 70 countries about Operation Sindoor and the need for its launch following the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22.

Lt Gen DS Rana, Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency, led the briefing for the Foreign Service Attaches, highlighting the operation’s success.

A statement said the operation has set a ‘new normal’ in India-Pakistan relations, underscoring India’s demonstrated strength and national resolve through military superiority in new-age warfare.

Lt Gen Rana elaborated on the deliberate planning process behind selecting targets with confirmed terror linkages. The integrated, precise, and prompt response by the Indian Armed Forces to achieve the objectives, executed through intense multi-domain operations was also highlighted.

He said Operation Sindoor demonstrated battle effectiveness of indigenous equipment and highlighted technological superiority of Indian Armed Forces in niche domains of Space, Cyber and Electronic Warfare.
