KUPWARA: The Income Tax department Wednesday carried out raids at two different locations at Sadderpora Kandi in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and seized some documents, a bank account pass book and other related things.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the IT department team headed by Assistant Commissioner raided the house of Ghulam Rasool Magray at Sadderpora Kandi in Kupwara district and seized some documents, account passbook and other things pertaining to cash from his son’s shop.
The official said that the raids were conducted this morning in the area.
Later, the team also raided a shop at Kandi Market, which belongs to the son of Ghulam Rasool Magray, identified as Zahoor Ahmad Magray and seized some documents pertaining to cash, the official said.
However, the official said that it was not known as to why the raid was conducted.
