Government Polytechnic Jammu inaugurates Fit India Webinar week

JAMMU: National Service Scheme (NSS) Government Polytechnic Jammu Unit, in association with experts from the field of health and wellness, today initiated “Fit India-2021” campaign through virtual mode.

The Program scheduled for a full one week, starting from  June 15, 2021 to June 21, 2021, began with sharing of views by Captain Rajiv-Holistic health Coach, Formulator and Fermenter. He will talk on the topic “Food as Medicine”.

Yogi Anil Thakur (Yoga therapist in ISM AYUSH Kishtwar), Sahil Gupta; Assistant Yoga teacher  Patanjalli Yog Peeth; Apoorvi Sharma Fitness Influencer; Dhanya Raj, Certified Yoga instructor from ISHA FOUNDATION; Sapna Jamwal, Coach NIS Cricket; Vinay Kumar Yoga Expert GPJ; will also grace the occasion with their online presence for week long Fit India Campaign as per fixed schedules.

On 29 Aug 2019, the Prime Minister launched a nation-wide “Fit India Movement” aimed to encourage people to inculcate physical activity and sports in their everyday lives and daily routine.

Fit India Campaign of NSS unit ,Govt. Polytechnic Jammu aims to help the students to grow individually and also in group. It will make the students confident, develop leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life in the field of physical and mental health.

Er Sakshi Kapahi presented the formal welcome address, which was followed by introduction of dignitaries/experts of different fields of physical health and mental peace.

Er. Ritu Jamwal principal, Govt. Polytechnic College Jammu appreciated and congratulated team NSS, Er.Ajay Thappa (Programme Officer),  Dheeraj Angral(Lecturer), Er. Sakashi Kapahi(Lecturer),   Saba Sheikh,  Er Sajjad Hussain, Er. Akash Dasgotra, Er. Amit Gupta and Er Jan Mohammad Najar, Students Volunteers-Nishchey, Varun and Anshu, for hosting such a programe during the period of pandemic, which is expected to train about three hundred participants across disciplines and subjects. 

The programme concluded with vote of thanks presented by Dheeraj Kumar and interactive session among the faculty members and students.
