Fogging operation intensified in Reasi to control vector-borne diseases, dengue

REASI:  The Municipal authorities today conducted a massive fogging operation in Reasi town to control the spread of vector borne diseases. 

Executive Officer Thakar Dass said that the MC has decided to carry out fogging during the evening as the Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes become active during that time. The MC had launched a special drive to create awareness about the dengue and other vector borne diseases among people by door to door distribution of pamphlets and other related material.

Besides, two shoulder-mounted machines are being used for fogging in parks, villages and settlements where big machines cannot move. These are also being used for fogging the houses of active dengue patients and their neighborhood.

Meanwhile, Charandeep Singh asked the officials to identify high-risk areas and give special attention to these. He also directed the officials to conduct a survey to check dengue larvae in residential and commercial parts of the city.

Meanwhile, Preeti Sharma, Executive Officer Municipal  Committee Katra said that they conducted massive fogging  at Ward no 08 all Streets,  Railway Station &(COVID-19) Test centres,  Ward no 12&13, Lower bus stand, Upper bus stand, Main bazar katra to CRPF Gate, and Shalimar park road to Banganga road.
