Fire breaks out in transport authority building in Delhi’s Sheikh Sarai

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out in the record room of a transport authority building in south Delhi’s Sheikh Sarai Phase-2 area, a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official said on Friday.

There were no casualties in the incident.

A call regarding the fire was received from the transport authority office at 9.31 pm on Thursday, he said.

Nine fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was confined to a record room in the building. It was doused by 11.20 pm, the official said.

There were no reports of any casualties in the fire, the cause of which is yet to be ascertained, he said.
