SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday booked the brother of BJP legislator Choudhary Lal Singh for using derogatory language against state chief minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Quoting the state police chief Shesh Paul Vaid, a local news agency said FIR has been lodged against Choudhary Rajinder Singh, who is the brother of BJP MLA Choudhary Lal Singh.
Earlier, former chief minister Omar Abdullah had urged state police to take strong notice of the derogatory and abusive language, after a video had gone viral on social networking sites in which Rajinder is heard hurling choicest invectives against Mufti.
