Empowering Youth: 352 Entrepreneurship cases approved under Mission YUVA at Baramulla

BARAMULLA: In a progressive step towards empowering the youth and fostering economic self-reliance, the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC), Baramulla, has approved 352 entrepreneurship proposals under the flagship Mission YUVA initiative.

This achievement reflects the district’s unwavering commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among its youth.

The meeting, presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Minga Sherpa, witnessed the approval of 347 cases under the Nano scheme, 03 cases under the MSME scheme, and 02 cases under the Existing Enterprises scheme. These projects will receive comprehensive financial and institutional support, enabling young entrepreneurs to translate their ideas into viable enterprises across sectors such as services, retail, manufacturing, and innovation-driven businesses.

DC emphasized that youth are the cornerstone of socio-economic progress and called upon all concerned departments to work in synergy to ensure efficient implementation, timely release of funds, and sustained mentoring support. He encouraged all stakeholders to actively contribute towards enabling young innovators to become catalysts of growth and development in the district.

The meeting was attended by ADC Baramulla, Assistant Director Employment, Functional Manager DIC, Lead District Manager, Cluster Head J&K Bank Baramulla, Career Counselling Officer, and Employment Officer, DE&CC Baramulla.
