Doley Barman, JKPs Senior Most Lady Retires

SRINAGAR: A warm send-off was given to D.R Doley Barman, at an impressive function held here last evening. The function was attended by DGP J&K Dilbag Singh and other senior officers.

Doley a 1986 batch IPS officer superannuated as Chairperson cum MD J&K Police Housing Corporation on May 31, 2019, after rendering more than 32 years service.

Doley had joined the department in December 1986 and remained posted at different positions during her service career. She served as SDPO Reasi, SP Traffic Srinagar, AIG (Pers) PHQ, SSP Udhampur, DIG Traffic, DIG Administration PHQ, IGP CID, IGP Hqrs. PHQ, ADGP Hqrs PHQ, and ADGP HG/CD/SDRF.

She also served as Director North East Police Academy and Director SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad during her deputation to GOI.

Speaking on this occasion DGP J&K Dilbag Singh highlighted the contribution of Doley to J&K Police and also to the institutions she served during her deputation. He said that her work for the Welfare of Police personnel will be long remembered.

In her address the DGP also highlighted the capabilities of the officer and said that her excellent organisational skills contributed much to the organisation.

Doley in her address thanked the DGP and other officers for organizing the farewell party for her. She spoke about some of the experiences of her life. She said that Jammu and Kashmir Police was among the best police departments of the country whose mere mention is received with respect in the country. A short film of her career was also screened on this occasion.

DGP on behalf of all ranks presented gifts and memento to D R Doley.

The function was attended by a galaxy of senior police officers and PWWA members.
