KULGAM: In a major boost to youth entrepreneurship and self-employment initiatives, the 6th District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting under Mission YUVA was today convened at Mini-Secretariat Kulgam, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan.
During the meeting, the committee approved 200 fresh applications including 191 Nano-Enterprises and 09 MSME units, aimed at empowering aspiring entrepreneurs across the district.
These cases had undergone detailed scrutiny and were recommended at the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) level before being placed for final approval in the DLIC.
The meeting witnessed the participation of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, GM DIC, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Assistant Director Employment, District Development Manager NABARD, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Career Counselling Officer, and Employment Officer DE&CC Kulgam, besides other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, DC highlighted the transformative potential of Mission YUVA in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and stressed the importance of seamless inter-departmental coordination to ensure efficient processing, sanctioning, and disbursement of benefits to beneficiaries.
He urged all stakeholders to adopt a proactive, transparent, and result-driven approach to maximize outreach and impact.
