JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar on Monday chaired a meeting to review the status of revenue services including the online services and revenue court cases in each district of the Jammu Division.
The meeting was attended by all Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division, Regional Directors-Survey and Land Records, Additional Deputy Commissioners, ACRs, SDMs and Tehsildars.
The Divisional Commissioner sought the details of online revenue services delivered in each Tehsil, including certified extracts, Attestation of Mutation, CLUs and other services. He enquired about the total number of applications received in each Tehsil and reasons for the pendency, if any. He also took appraisal of the time taken in the disposal of the services.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the Tehsildars to ensure timely and quality disposal of the services to avoid inconvenience to the people. The Deputy Commissioners and SDMs were asked to closely review and monitor the disposal and pendency of the online applications at all levels. “The reasons for rejection of services sought online along with the day of rejection shall be clearly mentioned” he said.
Additionally, the status of cases in the Revenue courts was also reviewed by the Divisional Commissioner. He directed DCs to furnish the monthly progress report on the disposal of cases to his office.
The Divisional Commissioner directed for increasing the weekly revenue court days, wherever necessary for reducing the pendency. He stressed on expediting the disposal, while prioritizing the cases pending for more than five years
The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed removal of encroachments from state land, disposal status of services under Public Service Guarantee Act, disposal of complaints, grievances on the JK Grievance Redressal Portal and other platforms.
