JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today flagged off the J&K Deaf Cricket team to New Delhi for its participation in the 9th All India T- 20 Indian Deaf Cricket Association tournament being held in the National Capital from November 3, 2025.
The Divisional Commissioner extended his good wishes to the talented players and motivated them to give their best in the championship and act as ambassadors of Jammu & Kashmir. The cricket team is being led by its Captain Suhail Ahmad Ganie.
Sports administrator and Member of the Governing Council (Sports), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Ranjeet Kalra was accompanied the team.
Umar Ashraf, a member of the team, expressed gratitude to business entrepreneurs Aman Modi and Khalid Malik for supporting the team with travel and accommodation logistics. He also thanked the Divisional Commissioner for the warm hospitality extended to the team.
The team consists of Suhail Ahmad Ganie (Captain ), Amir Rouf (vice captain), Umar Ashraf (WK) Hilal Wani, Shakir Fayaz, Sharik Majeed, Bilal Bhat, Zaheer abass, Peer Mohammad Arif, M. Shafi, Syed Azhar, Tajala Gaffor, Muzaffar Ahmad, Hanuman Ram, Irfan Ahmad (Manager) and Sajad Chowdhary(Coach).
