JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar and Inspector General of Police Bhim Sen Tuti today reviewed the final arrangements for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025 at key locations including Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas and Railway Station, Jammu.
The Divisional Commissioner and the IGP Jammu took a round inside the Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar and inspected AC Halls, Washrooms, Cloak Rooms, RO water points and langar halls which are ready to host the pilgrims of the annual holy Yatra.
They also visited the parking areas for buses and the German Hangar with Air coolers and fans inside for convenience of the Yatris.
Subsequently, the Divisional Commissioner and IGP Jammu chaired a meeting with heads of departments, senior officials from line departments and security forces. They took stock of the final arrangements put in place by each concerned department.
It was informed that adequate arrangements for power and water supply have been put in place with sufficient backups for comfortable stay of the pilgrims at the Yatri Niwas.
The Health department has stocked the medicines and finalised duty roster for doctors and medical personnel.
Proper functioning of flood response mechanism and illumination has been ensured of the premises with CCTV coverage and deployment of security personnel and civil staff.
The Div Com asked the Officials of telecom agencies for sufficient availability of prepaid mobile sims for the arriving Yatris. He also directed the concerned department for ensuring availability of all necessary items in the Super Bazaar set up inside the Yatri Niwas.
Directions were issued to put additional RFID and SRTC counters near the Hanger for facilitating the yatris.
The Divisional Commissioner and IGP also took first hand appraisal of 24×7 Control Room setup inside the Yatri Niwas with representatives of all concerned departments.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner and IGP visited the Railway Station to review the final arrangements there.
They inspected the arrangements at Saraswati Dham which will serve as the token centre for offline registration of Yatris.
They also took a round of RFID centres at Vaishnavi Dham, Pachayat Bhawan and Railway Station, Jammu.
All the concerned officials and departments were instructed to ensure comprehensive steps and measures are in place to facilitate the pilgrims of Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025.
