DDC Doda visits Assar screening point

Directs officials to follow guidelines strictly

DODA:- District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode yesterday visited COVID-19 screening point at Assar to take stock of arrangements being put in place for screening of passengers, coming from outside country or from other states.

The DDC said that Assar being the main entry point of the twin districts, it is necessary to screen all the inward movement of each and every passenger very carefully.

During the inspection, he asked the doctors, field staff, police officials deputed at entry point to properly check the passengers as per protocol. He instructed Block Medical Officer, Assar to keep two No Contact Infrared thermometers 24×7 at nakkah for screening of passengers.

He also directed them to intensify their efforts to enquire the travel history of passenger’s so that necessary steps will be taken in case any passenger has a travel history abroad or to any affected country.

He also checked the availability masks, hand gloves, sanitizers and other equipments. The DDC exhorted upon them to invariably inform the district as well as health authorities about the daily trend and also directed them to maintain the record of every inward movement on registers.

Others who accompanied the DDC during the inspection were SDM Assar Rishi Sharma, Tehsildar Assar Niaz Ahmed, BDO Assar Daljit Singh, SHO Assar besides other officials of Health and Police administration.
