District Admin Shopian Observes Phase-II of 150 Years of Vande Mataram with Patriotic Fervour

SHOPIAN: District Administration Shopian today organized the inaugural function of Phase-II of the commemoration of 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram” at Auditoriam Hall, Government Degree College (GDC) Shopian.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, officers from various departments and civil society representatives.

Chief Education Officer (CEO), Shopian, Bashir Ahmed Shah, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO highlighted the historical importance of “Vande Mataram” and underscored its pivotal role in inspiring generations during India’s freedom struggle.

He emphasized that the national song symbolizes unity, sacrifice and the collective spirit of the nation and continues to inspire patriotism among the youth.

The event featured a series of cultural performances, including patriotic songs, speeches and other cultural items, which beautifully reflected the rich heritage and deep emotional significance of the national song.

The performances were well received and created an atmosphere of national pride and unity.

Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Shopian, Suhail Ahmed, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Ajaz Ahmed, officers from various line departments, teaching staff and prominent citizens of the district were present.

The programme witnessed overwhelming enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members, reaffirming the collective commitment towards fostering patriotism and national values.
