KUPWARA: The District Administration Kupwara in collaboration with all line departments today organised an Employment Fair (Rozgar Mela) at Dak Bungalow Reddi Chowkibal and Dak Bungalow Tangdhar, to raise awareness regarding all self employment schemes.
During these Melas , unemployed youth of block Keran, Meelyal, Kralpora, Chowkibal, Teetwal and Tangdhar participated and registered themselves on spot to avail benefits under different employment schemes. Such Rozgar Melas shall also be held at Higher Secondary School Vilgam on December 07 for Ramhal, Taratpora and Magam Blocks.Likewise, for the blocks of Trehgam, Qadirabad, Kupwara, Hyhama, Drugmulla, the Rozgar Mela shall be held at Town Hall Kupwara on December 09.For Machil, Kalaroos, Sogam and Wavoora blocks, the Mela shall be held at Rest House Chandigam on December 10, while as at Environment Hall Handwara, the Rozgar Mela shall be conducted on December 14 for Nutnussa, Handwara, Rajwar, Mawar,Langate and Qaziabad blocks.As many as 2313 candidates have already applied for different employment generation schemes. All the concerned departments and sponsoring agencies have been directed to ensure that the sponsored cases of at least 10 youth in each Border Panchayat and 05 youth from other Panchayats is submitted by or before 15th of this month.The unemployed youth of District Kupwara have been invited to attend the respective Rozgar Mela for on the spot registration and other awareness regarding various self employment schemes devised by the Government.
