JAMMU: Director Agriculture Jammu Anil Gupta today conducted an on-the-spot inspection of all key sections under the administrative control of Directorate of Agriculture Jammu and reviewed functioning, punctuality, cleanliness and overall efficiency of each section.
The Sections/Offices inspected included Establishment, Development, Legal, Plant Protection Office, Planning, Accounts, Assistant Director Law Enforcement, Agriculture Chemist, Potato Development Office, ASCO (I&P), Pesticide Laboratory, Fertilizer Laboratory, Soil Testing Laboratory, Plant Health Clinic, Library, Auditorium and the premises of the Directorate.
The Director issued instructions for strict punctuality across all sections, directing officers and staff to regularly mark attendance in both register and the biometric system, He warned the employees against absenteeism. He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness in every section and across the Directorate premises.
Special instructions were given to the Estate Officer to ensure overall cleanliness of the premises and to take up repair and maintenance works of the Auditorium and Library on priority.
The Director further instructed staff of all laboratories including the Pesticide Lab, Fertilizer Lab, Soil Testing Lab and Plant Health Clinic to function with full efficiency, strengthen their testing and reporting mechanisms, and achieve their assigned targets within the stipulated time frame. He emphasized that laboratories should work in a result-oriented manner, adhere to quality standards and contribute effectively towards timely delivery of services to the farming community.
Anil Gupta emphasized that all section heads and lab incharges must ensure efficiency, discipline and time-bound performance, with strict compliance to the directions issued.
