DHSK tours various hospitals across Kashmir valley, takes stock of healthcare facilities

Srinagar: On the second day of Eid-Ul-Fitr, Director Health Services, Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today toured to different hospitals across Kashmir valley and took a detailed review of the health care facilities being provided to the patients.

In north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, the director visited SDH Magam and PHC Kunzer Tangmarg and took a first-hand appraisal of the health facilities being provided to the people.

Dr MA Rather also visited south Kashmir hospitals which include SDH Seer, PHC Srigufwara and NTPHC Kanelwan. He was accompanied by CMO Anantnag Dr MY Zagoo.

The director took round of various sections of the hospitals and interacted with staff and patients. He appreciated the health care workers for attending the duties positively despite Eid celebrations and for providing selfless services to the people.

The public at various places and interacted with the director and appreciated the work of the health department. They raised many issues with director regarding up-gradation of health facilities and discussed the way out.

Dr MA Rather assured the visiting delegation that their genuine issued will be addressed at the earliest possible time.

During the visit, the director while speaking about health care facilities said that the directorate is trying its level best to provide medical facilities to the people at their doorsteps whether it is on festival days, on holidays or on routine days.

Pertinently, earlier in the day the director chaired a meeting at Regional Institute of Health &Family Welfare (RIHFW), Dhobiwan and reviewed ‘Training of Trainers’ program in High Altitude Medicine ahead of Amarnath Yatra 2022. The training has been organized in collaboration with Office of the Director-General Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
