DGP sanctions Scholarship of Rs.2.30 lakh to 34 wards of police personnel

JAMMU: Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh IPS today sanctionedRs.2,29,600/- in favour of 34 wards of police personnel as scholarship out ofCentral Police Welfare Fund.

DGPhas granted scholarship in favour of 34 meritorious wards of police personnelof class 10th, class 12th and graduation/post graduationduring the academic session 2017-18. The scholarship of Rs.2.30 lakh has beengranted out of Central Police Welfare Fund.

Besides,Rs.6000/- each has been granted to 15 meritorious wards for securing above 90%marks in 10th class and above 80% in 12th class.Rs.4000/- each has been granted to 10 meritorious wards for securing 80% andabove marks. Rs.18000/- has been granted to one ward for securing above 90% inM.Tech., Rs.12000/- to four wards for securing above 80% in post graduation,Rs.8500/- to two wards for securing above 80% in graduation and Rs.5000/- toone ward for securing above 70% in graduation.

Police Headquarters hasbeen sanctioning scholarships and rewards for wards of martyred and servingPolice personnel under different schemes to boost their morale.Attachments area
