Takes stock of ongoing developmental activities at departmental farms and nurseries
SRINAGAR: The Director General (DG) Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today conducted an extensive tour of district Budgam to take stock of various developmental activities being carried out in departmental farms and nurseries
The DG on the occasion stressed for the timely completion of budding exercise and emphasized on judicious use of inputs, so as to propagate quality fruit plants.
He also met some progressive orchardists of the district and advised them to avail the benefits of different departmental Schemes, especially newly launched Modified High Density Plantation Scheme.
Later, the DG had an interaction with the field staff of the district and directed them to give wide publicity to different departmental Schemes. He further instructed the officers to make frequent visit to the field and provide the growers with latest technical knowhow
During the visit he was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer Budgam and other officers of the department.
