SAMBA: District Development Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan today reviewed the implementation and progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and the Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) at a District Level Committee (DLC) meeting held in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex Nandani Hills.
The DDC held detailed deliberations on the status of major projects being implemented under HADP and JKCIP. She reviewed and discussed the list of eligible beneficiaries for final selection and approval under various projects of Agriculture and allied Departments, who had applied online through the HADP and JKCIP portals.
It was informed that a total of 427 beneficiaries have been approved under different projects of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), while 67 beneficiaries have been approved under JKCIP across Agriculture and allied sectors in the district.
The District Development Commissioner emphasized the need for coordinated and collaborative efforts among all stakeholders to promote sustainable agricultural sector growth in the district. She stressed the need to extend benefits to a larger number of eligible beneficiaries to maximize the impact of HADP and JKCIP initiatives.
She further directed the concerned officers to ensure speedy implementation of approved cases and provide adequate handholding support to the beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue; Chief Agriculture Officer; Chief Horticulture Officer; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer; District Sheep Husbandry Officer; Assistant Director Fisheries; DDM NABARD; District Officer HPM; District Sericulture Officer; Lead District Manager; District Agriculture Officer (Extension); Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, besides other officers of the concerned departments.
