DC Rajouri vacates Panchayat Ghar from illegal occupants

RAJOURI: Continuing its drive to evict the unauthorized occupants and clear the bottlenecks in the way of development, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan, got vacated two Panchayat Ghar buildings from illegal possession of some locals.

As per the officials, the two buildings, one partially demolished, were illegally occupied by two persons.

After knowing about Panchayat Ghar was not functional, the Deputy Commissioner sought immediate eviction and deputed Tehsildar Rajouri, Mohammad Rafeeq and SHO concerned Mohammad Amin along with the officials of Rural Development Department and got both the sites vacated.

The Panchayat Ghar building and the premises of old Panchayat Ghar were taken into possession and handed over to the local Panchayat on spot.

 The public of the area highly appreciated the intervention of the District Administration and assured the Deputy Commissioner to point out such other cases lying in the area so that the works on overall development of the area don’t suffer.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan   initiated action against an incharge work supervisor and CP worker of Jal Shakti department for dereliction of duty.

The action was initiated after a public deputation from Manjakote complained to Deputy Commissioner that the work supervisor is not performing his duty and   behaves rudely with the public.

Similar, complaint of misconduct were received against the CP Worker.
