PULWAMA: District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer today chaired a meeting of district officers and representatives of security agencies to review the arrangements for Independence Day 2020 celebration, here.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at District Police lines whereas similar functions would be held at all Tehsil headquarters.
It was also given out that contingents of JKP, CRPF, Home Guard, students of government and private schools will participate in the march past parade.
Meanwhile employees who have done exemplary work will be awarded certificates of appreciation and prizes.
The DDC directed the officials to ensure adequate security arrangements, parking facilities and proper seating arrangements according to the guidelines issued by authorities at the venue, besides ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply.
He also directed Health department to setup adequate number of medical camps with proper staff, ambulance and Medicare facilities at the respective venues where Independence Day function will be held in the district.
The DDC directed the officials of Municipal Committee to maintain cleanliness in and around District Police lines, roads, and streets in the town and further called for close coordination among the concerned departments for smooth and peaceful conduct of the Independence Day.
Additional Deputy Commissioners Pulwama and Awantipora, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, Dy SP DAR Pulwama, Senior Civil, Army and Police officers besides other concerned officers attended at the meeting.
